The following could generate an ENORMOUS amount of very cheap energy by using existing barries and differences in tidal heights to stream water in a way similar to Dynamic Tidal Power, as in:

The big new idea is to not build a wall around, eg, 50 miles of ocean, as previously suggested, and rather use the thousands of miles of natural wall (continents) separating the tides at points as close apart as those across the Panama and Suez canals.
